Sunday Leagues!
We have worked with Glacier Ice Rink to bring both Sunday Leagues back to the club! Registrations for both the Sunday Fun/Family League and the Sunday Doubles League are now open!
The Fun League will be focused on families, youth, and those who can't play late on Saturday nights. The focus of this league will be learning and fun, more along the lines of a less competitive Spring league. The Doubles League will follow standard doubles rules and gameplay, but we will not require the teams to be mixed-gendered. There will be a meeting before the doubles league starts to discuss the differences from the standard play we are all accustomed to. Both leagues will allow for ten teams.
The five Sundays of gameplay will be the following: 1/12/25, 2/9/25, 2/16/25, 3/9/25, and 3/23/25
Here is what the Sunday morning schedule will look like:
- 8:30 - 9:00 - Set up
- 9:00 - 10:30 - Fun League
- 10:30 - 11:30 - Doubles League
Fun League cost will be:
- $270 for a family/team
- $67.50 for an individual
- Must select a club membership level
Doubles League will cost $67.50 per player or $135 per team, and each player must be a club member.
The setup will be modified since each Sunday League will follow Saturday night league play. The Fun League will be responsile for this modified set up. For security, we will lock the rocks in the cabinet overnight. This means that stones will need to be transferred to the ice. For safety, we will rebeble Sunday morning. The hacks will already be in place. The Doubles League will be responsible for cleaning up.
Missoula Curling Club Launches 2024 Year-End Challenge: Help Us Build a Dedicated Curling Center!
As the holidays draw near and winter settles in, we’re thrilled to announce our Second Annual Year-End Challenge!
Last year, we were amazed by the generosity of our members when a $25,000 gift inspired matching donations, jumpstarting our efforts toward a dedicated curling facility. This year, we’re raising the bar! A generous club member has donated $50,000 toward our dedicated ice initiative—and they’re challenging us to match it, for a total of $100,000!
Why a Dedicated Curling Center?
A permanent home for curling in Missoula means:
- More and better league times
- Opportunities for practice and casual play
- Vastly superior ice conditions
- Programs for kids and families
- The chance to embrace the uniquely social spirit of our beloved sport
We’ve made strong progress in the quiet phase of our fundraising efforts, and the MCC Board is confident we can achieve our goal. To share the vision, we’re planning opportunities for you to provide input on the new facility and even organizing a road trip to experience curling on dedicated Canadian ice firsthand.
